    Team Travel FAQ

How far is The Outrider from Colorado Springs tournament venues?

The Outrider is in Manitou Springs, on the west side of the Colorado Springs metro area. Most major venues are an easy drive: about 15 minutes to downtown Colorado Springs and Ed Robson Arena, about 15 minutes to the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center, about 20 minutes to Broadmoor World Arena, and about 25 minutes to the U.S. Air Force Academy.

Can you host a full team with families?

Yes. With 39 boutique rooms, The Outrider comfortably hosts traveling teams and their families — typically groups of 10 to 40 guests. Room blocks keep everyone together, and full-property buyouts are available for bigger travel weekends.

How do team room blocks work when each family pays separately?

We set up a custom booking link or group code for your team. Each family reserves and pays for its own room at the team rate, and we hold the block so rooms don't sell out before your families book. Coaches and managers get one dedicated contact throughout.

Can athletes use the sauna, cold plunge, and hot tub?

That's the point! Recovery is what we're built for — contrast therapy in the sauna and cold plunge, an outdoor hot tub, and a seasonal pool are all on property. Minors should be accompanied by an adult; ask us about team-friendly scheduling for your group.

What is there to do on a rest day or between games?

You're staying at the base of Pikes Peak: Garden of the Gods is a 3-minute drive, the Manitou Incline is a legendary team challenge, and downtown Manitou Springs — arcade, mineral springs, and restaurants — is a short walk from the hotel.

Do you offer anything for parents while athletes compete?

Tournament weekends should feel like a getaway for the whole family. Parents can soak in the hot tub, book sauna and cold plunge sessions, walk to downtown Manitou Springs, or squeeze in a Garden of the Gods sunrise before the first whistle.

    Book Your Team's Basecamp

Coaches, club directors, team managers, and parent coordinators — tell us about your event and we'll hold the rooms. Blocks start at 10 rooms, and the best tournament weekends book early.
